Discover the Quri Qale Cave in Kermanshah, Iran

Quri Qala Cave or Quri Qale, the largest Middle Eastern cave with a 65 million-year history, is located in Kermanshah province. This cave is located 25 km from Ravansar, on the slopes of Shahu Mountain, overlooking the Ravansar-Paveh road and near the village of the same name. Quri Qale cave is one of the most popular Iran tourist places and there are four deepwater cascades in the Cave of Qala Ravansar in Kermanshah, which distinguishes this cave from other similar caves. 

This cave has been used throughout history as safe and out of reach, and the discovery of works such as bowls, plates, and several utensils and coins from the era of Yazdgerd III marks the age and use of ancient times. The length of the cave is 12 km and its depth is 3140 meters and has been recorded as one of the seven natural national works of Iran.

The cave was originally recorded as the national natural resource of Iran by the Environmental Protection Agency for environmental protection. Then, on March 27, 2008, the Cultural Heritage Organization was ranked as the 54th National Documentary on the Natural Heritage List of Iran.

After passing through the entrance to the cave, the first large place there is called "Maryam Hall". The area is like a large lake, surrounded by beautiful icicles. At a depth of 1000 meters, there is a tall cave, the most beautiful blue pond in the world attracting everyone. There are curtains in this area, each sounding like one of the musical instruments by the touch of one, which is why the site is named "Beethoven Hall".

At the height of 1,000 meters of the cave, there is a place called the “bridal palace”.It has a wonderful beauty, the genus of the area is white and shiny crystal, and if anyone wants to pass through them, his footprint will remain in this part.

In another section of the cave, there is a tunnel called "Limbo Tunnel", which is known as the most terrible place in the cave. The length of the tunnel is 220 meters, which is about half a meter wide. you can use the Iran tour and enjoy visiting attractions.

The temperature of the cave varies from 7 degrees below zero to 11 degrees above zero, with a relative humidity of 89 percent, which makes it easy for tourists to visit all seasons of the year.

Other properties of the cave

In addition to this, this area has a lot of historical value, there are remains of the Sassanid castle near the cave, as well as 30 ancient objects including human skulls and prehistoric pottery have been discovered here. This cave is suitable for visiting tourists and cavers, researchers, geologists, and other groups.
